The SEJ is a meditation

There are moments in time, maybe when you sit to rest or meditate that you feel love, a deep sense of love. And you believe that this love has now descended upon you, that it is has found you. But this can never be true, for love, joy, peace, (please know these are only emotions to describe a sense of connection to the True Self), this is who you are, ever present; you simply are not aware because you are caught up in the unconscious noise of mind, body and actions.

The mind is weak, but I AM not.

The mind will always try to get your attention, but you don’t have to listen. It can be as easy as changing the channel on the TV when an unwanted programme appears! But you often don’t change channel, why?

  1. You believe the thought.

  2. You are identified with the body (often when physically addicted to something).

  3. You are strongly identified with the emotion triggered from believing the thought.

If the emotion is very strong, such as fear you struggle to dis-identify to not believe the thought that evokes the fear, but without emotion the thought has no power, and without your attention neither the thought nor emotion has power. If you acknowledge that which you are, the True Self, and simply be with this and go deeper, more powerful truths will unfold, not for knowledge, but to serve as a key to release you from the imprisonment of mind, body and emotions. This indeed is what the SEJ Process will do for you.

The SEJ gives structure to your meditation, each step asks of you to go deeper, until at Step 4 you are able to touch the infinite. Indeed, at Step 4 many will say:

Emotion: I feel nothing,

Physical: Nothing happening in the body,

P.A.: Nothing to do.

There is a sense here of the infinite in the word ‘nothing’. If you practice the process only at the level of mind, you will receive answers to the questions asked, you may even be touched deeply by a powerful truth realised at Step 2 and anchored at Step 3. But can you go deeper into the ‘nothing’ offered at Step 4? Can you use the SEJ Process as a meditation practice to awaken to the nothing that is the ‘True Self’?
